Join our team as an Associate Consultant

We are looking to expand our team of experienced Associate Consultants to support a growing portfolio of projects across the aviation and air traffic management sector.

We are particularly interested in hearing from professionals with experience in Air Traffic Management (ATM), Air Traffic Control (ATC), aviation regulation, safety, compliance and assurance who are looking for flexible consultancy opportunities and the chance to work on interesting and challenging projects.

Our consultants work with a diverse range of clients, supporting the development, implementation, assurance and improvement within various organisations.

About the Role

As an Associate Consultant, you will work alongside our consultancy and technical teams to provide specialist expertise and practical advice to clients.

Depending on your experience and the requirements of individual projects, your responsibilities may include:

  • Providing specialist technical and operational advice to clients.
  • Reviewing existing ATM/ATC arrangements, procedures and management systems.
  • Supporting regulatory and compliance assessments.
  • Developing policies, procedures, manuals and operational documentation.
  • Conducting audits, gap analyses and compliance reviews.
  • Supporting safety assessments and risk management activities.
  • Developing or reviewing ATM/ATC operational concepts and procedures.
  • Supporting ANSP certification, licensing and regulatory approval activities.
  • Advising on ATC staffing, training and competency requirements.
  • Supporting airspace change and associated operational activities.
  • Providing independent assurance and technical review.
  • Supporting project delivery from initial concept through to implementation.
  • Preparing reports, recommendations and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
  • Working collaboratively with client teams, regulators and other aviation stakeholders.

About You

We are looking for experienced aviation professionals who can combine technical knowledge with practical operational experience and strong consultancy skills.

You may currently be working within an ANSP, regulator, aviation organisation or consultancy, or may be an experienced aviation professional looking to undertake consultancy work alongside other commitments.

You should have:

  • Significant experience within ATM, ATC, aviation regulation, or compliance
  • A strong understanding of the UK and/or European aviation regulatory environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to interpret complex regulatory and technical requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to produce clear, professional technical documentation.
  • Confidence working with clients and senior stakeholders.
  • The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach.
  • A commitment to safety, compliance and professional standards.

Qualifications & Experience

Relevant qualifications and professional experience may include:

  • Current or previous ATCO licence and operational experience.
  • Experience working for an ANSP or within an ATC environment.
  • ATM/ATC management or supervisory experience.
  • Aviation regulatory or compliance experience.
  • Safety management or assurance experience.
  • Experience with ANSP certification and designation.
  • Experience conducting audits or regulatory compliance assessments.
  • Experience developing ATM/ATC procedures and management systems.
  • Relevant aviation, safety, engineering or management qualifications.
