Cyrrus is delighted to announce the successful completion of an Airspace Change Proposal (ACP) process on behalf of Doncaster Sheffield Airport. The CAA has approved the ACP introducing Area Navigation (RNAV) Approach and Departure procedures (IAPs and SIDs). These new procedures have been designed to meet modern Performance-Based Navigation (PBN) criteria in keeping with the UK’s Airspace Modernisation Strategy. The project team successfully optimised the procedures to minimise the impact of noise on communities. As part of the Future Airspace Strategy Implementation (North) (FASI(N)), Cyrrus has worked closely with Air Traffic Control Services Limited (ATCSL), NATS En-route Limited (NERL) and the Ministry of Defence (MoD) to ensure the proposals also met the satisfaction of Air Traffic Management (ATM) stakeholders. The new procedures are due to be implemented on 27 February 2020.

Cyrrus has proven once again that it has the Instrument Flight Procedure (IFP) design, ATM and consultation capability to support clients in projects of this nature.
