Thinking - Aeronautical Ground Lighting

Cyrrus Ltd has recently enhanced its capabilities through its partnership with Precision ATM, a newly-formed specialist Aeronautical Ground Lighting (AGL) design and installation company; as AGL is an integral part of CNS/ATM, this development is a natural addition to Cyrrus’ portfolio.

PATM formed in 2008 but its personnel possess 32 years of experience in AGL, control system and electrical engineering projects.  PATM are therefore well placed to service the requirements of Airport Operators, Main contractors and Consulting engineers.

PATM’s range of services encompasses all aspects of AGL, control system and ancillary electrical services installations.  The company’s activities include: initial site survey, design, product selection, application, compliance, installation and commissioning, through to planned maintenance and emergency call out services.  Additionally, PATM also has experience in the supply, installation and commissioning of standby power systems, apron floodlighting, and HV/LV electrical systems.

Personnel at PATM have been involved in the following projects during the last 2 years:

• Oxford Airport.  Supply and installation of AGL, control and monitoring system, Fibre Optic Network, LV distribution system and standby power supply generator.
• Manchester airport.  Installation of Taxiway and Stopbar lighting to Delta - Zulu taxiway, Runway 2 maintenance works.
• UK MoD.  ILS Category II AGL, PLC Control and Monitoring system installation at a major UK military airfield.
• Lippitts Hill Camp Met Police Helipad.  Supply and installation of Heli-strip lighting, illuminated windsleeve and control and monitoring system.
• British West Indies.  Turnkey installation of Airfield ground lighting, Control system, Apron floodlighting and Diesel generator standby power supply systems.
• Robin Hood Doncaster Airport.  Supply and installation of HV/LV power, data and communications cabling and earthing system to Instrument landing and Navigational aids equipment.
• The installation of 25 Metre High, Hinged Approach Mast lighting systems.
• Installation of PLC AGL Control and Monitoring systems at 4 Major UK civil airports.
