on any of the following?:
Cyrrus can provide design services for all non-precision and precision instrument flight procedures (IFP) based upon conventional ground-based radio navigational aids as well as satellite-based (GNSS) procedures.
We can also provide terminal area, arrival (STAR) and departure route (SID) design. Our designer - ASAP sro - uses a quality software package (PHX) to complete 3-D modelling work compliant with ICAO 8168 criteria and, where appropriate, national legislation. ASAP sro holds National Approvals or Accreditations from:
Each IFP developed is supported by a comprehensive design document which incorporates WGS-84 survey data (appropriate to task) and an assessment of the building and terrain obstacles. This package can be used to demonstrate to a regulatory authority that the IFP meets the objectives of air traffic service provision and complies with national design criteria and safety requirements.
As Cyrrus is able to deliver all elements of an IFP design, we are able to tailor our response to your needs. Our flexible approach allows us to plan work for a whole succession of IFPs for, say, a new-build airport, or we can develop an individual element of an IFP if that is all that is required. For instance, we can model a proposed change or move of a Holding Pattern to assess its practicality and the collateral impact on existing airspace arrangements; or establish the approach minima for a proposed new Navaid installation; or run a Collision Risk Model as part of establishing a Safety Case. Whatever, you are , it is likely that we can help.
If required, Cyrrus can also arrange for the formal validation of all of new IFPs through independent flight inspection and evaluation of the procedures. Why is this necessary? Often the regulatory authority requires that, prior to formal publication, an IFP has to be flown and assessed to ensure that it is flyable. This added value gives assurance to aircraft operators, ATS Regulators and ATC service providers that all procedures are compliant, robust and – above all else - safe.
